Who is Cinderelo for?
Cinderelo begins in Portugal, for adults who live here, are staying here, or are visiting. What connects people here isn't nationality — it's presence.
The Cinderella story inspires the name, but it doesn't decide who gets to meet whom. Cinderelo is built for different people, different attractions and different kinds of connections.
How does it work?
Discovery is open. Conversation is deliberate.
Take a Step.
A Step is a silent expression of interest. No message. No Conversation. No intrusion. It simply tells someone: I noticed you. I'm interested.
Send an Invitation.
Where the pairing rules allow it, an Invitation lets you send a real first message without waiting for a Match. The message does not immediately become a Conversation in the recipient's inbox. It remains an Invitation first.
Connect deliberately.
The recipient can see the person and their opening message before deciding whether to begin the Conversation. Only when the Invitation is accepted does a Conversation open. That opening message then becomes the first message of the Conversation.
Why another dating app?
Too much online dating is built around scarcity, endless matching and monetising access to the people you actually want to meet.
Cinderelo starts from a different idea: discovery can be abundant while access to Conversation remains controlled.
You should be able to notice someone, understand something about them and show genuine interest without first winning a Match. But showing interest should never give anyone the automatic right to invade somebody else's inbox.
You can say something without forcing a Conversation.
No tiny daily allocation of people just to manufacture scarcity. No compatibility score pretending to know who you'll fall for. No popularity scoreboard.
Cinderelo's first goal is usefulness: helping real people notice each other, express genuine interest, start meaningful Conversations and eventually meet. Monetisation comes later.
A different way to make the first move.
Women lead. Everyone belongs.
When a man is interested in a woman, he can take a Step — a quiet signal of interest — but he cannot send her the first Invitation.
She can take a Step herself, respond to genuine interest, or send an Invitation directly when someone catches her attention.
Outside that one man-to-woman direction, either person may take a Step or send an Invitation.
The Cinderella story inspires Cinderelo. It doesn't force every connection into the same story.
